22nd July of 2017, on a beautiful summer day in Montichiari, I said yes to the man of my life. We said yes to a life together and to forever. Best decision we have ever made. I will never forget this moment when Matthias was standing there – waiting for me at this magical and very intimate place. We decided to have this beautiful moment together before the ceremony, so we first met at this old chuch on a little hill with view above this charming italian town. And there he was standing – with a smile on his face and a tear rolling down.
We had 46 guests and we are so lucky to have them all in our lives. Most of them arrived the day before and stayed until Sunday, so we had this little “wedding weekend” feeling, enjoying every single moment with them. The most important people of our lives, family and friends reunited in Italy to celebrate with us means so much to us. After our “first look” it was time to get back to the Palazzo Novello for the ceremony. I will never forget the moment how me and my dad stood in the hallway and waited to go out to the altar. How the music started playing. How my sister (she is my maid of honour) and our best friends walked in first. How everybody was waiting for us. And how I see Matthias standing there and waiting for me – again.
Italy is full of picturesque places and Lake Garda is surely one of them, full of many breathtaking landscapes, good food, delicious wine and nice people – that’s why I’m the happiest girl on earth marrying Matthias at this beautiful Palazzo. It’s one of the most magical little spots I’ve ever seen. Love at first sight! So we rented the whole little boutique hotel for our guests and our wedding – from the ceremony, garden party and dinner to the party at night.
Sharing this big day with our friends and family was a beautiful feeling! After hugging with all of our guests after the ceremony, it was time for Aperol Sprizz, cake and for some more photos… There are many more pictures of our wedding day, which will follow soon.
